Working out which style suits your dog
How your dog sleeps tells you a lot about the bed they'll actually use. Dogs that sprawl out and run hot tend to love the elevated cooling cots, since the raised mesh design lets air move underneath and keeps them off a warm floor. Dogs that like to nest and lean usually settle better on a padded sofa bed with a backrest and armrest to prop against. If you want something that fits the look of your room, the rattan wicker houses give a cosy, enclosed spot without looking like a plastic basket.
Getting the size right
Measure your dog from nose to tail while they're lying stretched out, then add a bit of room so they're not cramped. The raised cots come in 61cm, 76cm, 92cm and 122cm to cover everything from small breeds to larger dogs. The sofa beds are grouped by size too, with options for XS and small dogs through to medium and large breeds, so check the dimensions on each product page before buying.
Keeping the bed clean
Dog beds need regular cleaning, and several of the sofa-style options here have removable cushions to make that simpler. The raised cots wipe down easily and tend to dry quickly, which is useful if your dog comes in damp from a walk.
